Wading Gear

Most fishing will occur from the boat. However, if you wish to wade fish you do need to provide your own wading gear. Wading gear may also be beneficial for warmth during cooler weather in the spring and fall or during rainy weather.

Fishing License

You will need a valid Montana Fishing License, and as your outfitter, we will need a copy.

Private Rod Fees

If your trip includes fishing in a location with rod fees, those fees will be in addition to the daily rates.

Gratuity

Gratuities are not included in the daily fee. It is customary to tip your guide based on the experience you have received. Our guides go above and beyond to provide exceptional experiences. We certainly appreciate your generosity and gratitude for the services provided. A 20% or greater tip rate is a general guideline.

Transportation to the river to meet guide

Our guides are frequently able to pick clients up in the morning to transport to the river, and we do strive to do this when possible. This service is not guaranteed, dependent on where your lodging is and where your guide is coming from that day.

Reservations/Deposits

Tributary Anglers require a 50% deposit at the time of booking. Final payment is due no later than the day before the trip and must be received prior to services being provided. We strongly encourage reservations well in advance of the planned trip. Our guides are in high demand and fill their schedules as far out as a year. Receipt of a deposit serves as acknowledgement and acceptance of Tributary Angler’s cancellation policy.

Cancellation Policy

Your deposit will be refunded minus a 10% processing fee so long as you provide Tributary Anglers with 30 days or more written notice (either email or mail) of the cancellation. If notice is given within less than 30 days, and the guide is unable to be rebooked once the notice is provided, your deposit will be forfeited. Should the cancellation be initiated by Tributary Anglers, a full refund will be provided if rescheduling is not possible. Tributary Anglers will only cancel a trip due to conditions that jeopardize the health and safety of the client or guide, federal or state closures, or other uncontrollable circumstances. We make no exceptions to our cancellation policy. You may visit travelguard.com or any other trip insurance of your choosing if you would like to purchase trip insurance.
