Tanner Duncan

Tanner Duncan is the outfitter for Tributary Anglers. He grew up in Montana and developed his love for fly fishing at a young age while fishing the local waters with his father. He began working the rivers at age 19 running gear boats on Montana’s Smith River during the summers while pursuing a degree in education at the University of Montana. Within a couple of years, he was in the rower's seat of a guide boat and now has over 20 years of experience on many of Montana’s rivers. Tanner met his wife when they were both working in the fly-fishing world as high school and college students. They have been married for 15+ years and have an 8-year-old son. It is a dream to share his passion for fly-fishing with such an enthusiastic and supportive family. You will find the Duncan family, and their yellow lab Walter, out on many Montana adventures. They love to fly-fish, float the rivers, camp, hike, hunt, and ski.
